The missing piece in your after-school routine for less chaos

If the first few weeks of school have taught you anything, it might be this:

Getting everyone from school mode to home mode is HARD. 😅

Backpacks get dropped in the middle of the floor. Shoes disappear. Lunch boxes are forgotten. Kids are hungry, tired, and somehow suddenly need you for 47 different things the second they walk through the door.

And before you know it, the after-school craziness has begun.

One thing that can really help is giving kids a simple, predictable after-school routine they can follow when they get home.

Check out this After School Checklist for Kids.

Instead of you having to remind them:

✓ Put your backpack away

✓ Unpack your lunch box

✓ Put your shoes where they belong

✓ Wash your hands

✓ Have a snack

✓ Finish homework/reading

✓ Get ready for the rest of the afternoon

…the checklist gives them a visual reminder of what comes next.

It won’t magically make everyone less tired or hungry (I wish 😂), but it can make that transition from school to home feel a whole lot smoother.

And the more familiar the routine becomes, the less you may find yourself saying:

“Did you unpack your backpack?”

“Where are your shoes?”

“Did you wash your hands?”

“Go put your lunch box in the kitchen!”

You know. The after-school soundtrack.

If your afternoons could use a little more routine and a little less chaos, grab the After School Checklist here: 👉 Printable After School Routine Checklist

Here’s to slightly calmer afternoons and fewer reminders! ❤️

When you shop with a small business, you’re doing more than making a purchase—you’re making a meaningful impact.

Every single sale helps their family pay their bills, put food on the table, and support their children’s dreams. Instead of fueling a corporate giant, your order brings joy to a real person who does a little happy dance with each notification. (And boy do we do a little happy dance!)

Your choice to support small businesses creates ripples of positivity that go far beyond the checkout page.

Planning a playdate doesn’t have to mean figuring out a whole afternoon of activities, snacks, and entertainment. In fact, the easiest playdates are usually the simplest ones.
